The Australian Ballet School student residence opening; The Royal Children’s Hospital visit; 2016 Australian Open Women’s Final

On Saturday 30 January 2016, at Parkville, Melbourne, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron of The Australian Ballet, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, The Australian Ballet School, Commissioner Leigh Johns, officially opened the new student residence, ‘Marilyn Rowe House’.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer, The Royal Children’s Hospital, Professor Christine Kilpatrick, viewed hospital facilities and met with patients, family and staff.

Later, at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Park, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Tennis Australia, Mr Steve Healy, attended the 2016 Australian Open Women’s Final.
