2019 Australia Day Honours List
On 26 January 2019, the Governor-General and Chancellor of the Order of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), announced 1400 awards in the Australia Day 2019 Honours List.
The Australia Day 2019 Honours List was the largest since the Order of Australia was established in 1975.
It included 1127 recipients of awards in the General Division of the Order of Australia and 273 meritorious and military awards. The list included the most ever awards for outstanding service or achievement in the community (516) and the highest percentage (to that time) and number of women recipients (422).
