14th National Alzheimer's Australia Conference; Dalby State School's 150th Anniversary; Western Downs Regional Council Community Event

On Wednesday 18 May 2011, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the 14th National Alzheimer’s Australia Conference, at which the Governor-General, as Patron, delivered the opening address.

Afterwards, in Dalby, Queensland, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Principal, Ms Mona Anau, and in recognition of the school’s 150th Anniversary, attended the Dalby State School’s sports carnival and later met with students, teachers and parents.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Mayor of Western Downs Regional Council, Councillor Ray Brown, attended a community event with those affected by the December and January floods.
