2012 DonateLife Week; Reception in Honour of the Chair of the National Gallery of Australia

On Wednesday 15 February 2012, at the National Portrait Gallery, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Chief Executive Officer of the Organ and Tissue Authority, Ms Yael Cass, launched DonateLife Week 2012 and presented the DonateLife ‘Book of Life’ to the National Library of Australia.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor-General received Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. The Secretary-General was accompanied by Chef de Cabinet of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Vefahan Ocak; and Director, Political Affairs Department of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Tareq Bakhiet.

In the evening, at the National Gallery of Australia, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the incoming interim Chair of the National Gallery of Australia, Mr John Calvert-Jones AM, attended a reception in honour of the outgoing Chair of the National Gallery of Australia, Mr Rupert Myer AM.
