27th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine; Legacy Widows; World Harmony Running Team; ???Thanks?? Exhibition
On Monday 22 November 2010, at the National Convention Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC opened the 27th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received from the Eastern States Aboriginal Languages Group, Ms Faith Baisden, Mr Kevin Lowe, Mr Daryn McKenny, Mr Geoff Anderson, Mr Paul Paton, Mr Bruce Pascoe, Ms Bridget Priman, and Ms Melinda Holden.
Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted an afternoon tea for Legacy widows, at which the Little Angels Children’s Folk Ballet of the Republic of Korea performed.
Then, the Governor-General received the World Harmony Running Team at the conclusion of their Australian leg.
Earlier, Mr Bryce received author, Mr Allan Blankfield OAM.
In the evening, at the ACCC Exhibition Space, Barton, Mr Bryce attended an exhibition of work by University of Canberra graduating graphic design students entitled ‘Thanks’.
Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Tonga, Her Majesty Queen Halaevalu Mata’aho by Captain Michael Hickey ADC RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
