43rd Infantry Battalion; Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship

On Thursday 7 June 2012, at the Pathway of Honour, Adelaide, the Administrator, Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR and Mrs Liz Scarce, as guests of the President of the 9th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Association of South Australia, Mr David Stacey, unveiled a memorial to the 43rd Infantry Battalion Australian Imperial Force.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Administrator and Mrs Scarce, as guests of the President of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship, Ms Gay Gardner, attended the official launch of the book ‘In the Queen’s Name – A Century in the Life and Work of the Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship in South Australia’.
