ACT Women's Services Network International Women's Day Breakfast; Australian National Committee for UN Women and ???Women's Words of Wisdom, Power and Passion' launch; Centenary of International Women's Day lunch and reception

On Tuesday 8 March 2011, at the Kamberra Wine Company, Lyneham, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as guest of the Executive Director of the Canberra Young Women’s Christian Association, Ms Rebecca Vassarotti, attended the ACT Women’s Services Network International Women’s Day Breakfast.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a morning tea marking the commencement of the Australian National Committee for UN Women and to officially launch the book by Ms Karen Phillips ‘Women’s Words of Wisdom, Power and Passion’.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted a lunch in recognition of the Centenary of International Women’s Day. In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception to mark the Centenary of International Women’s Day.
