On Tuesday 30 April 2024, His Excellency, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), as Patron, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Nieves Murray, Chief Executive Officer, attended the 2024 National Suicide Prevention Conference. 

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Nate Taylor, Assistant Director, met with staff at the Australian Space Discovery Centre. 

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Brigadier Timothy Orders, Commander 9th Brigade, attended a lunch with members of the 1st Armoured Regiment and 7th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Air Commodore Adrian Maso, Commander Air Warfare Centre, met with members of No. 92 Wing and conducted a static tour of a P8-A Poseidon aircraft.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Adelaide, South Australia, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
