Albany Visit
On Sunday 2 November 2014, in Albany, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of the Albany Surf Life Saving Club, Ms Celia Waugh, visited the club and met with staff and volunteers.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Commander of the Regional Western Australia Police, Commander Murray Smalpage APM, visited the Albany Police Station and Albany Command Centre and met with Australian Federal Police and West Australian police members.
In the evening, at the Carlyles Function Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of LTCOL Eric Pearson (Retd), attended a commemoration dinner with the Royal Military College, Duntroon, class of 1963-1966 to commemorate the departure of the first RMC class from Albany in 1914.
