Amman, Jordan

On Wednesday 18 October 2017, at Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove were welcomed by the Ambassador for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency Mr Miles Armitage.

In the afternoon, at Husseiniya Palace, Amman, as guests of Their Majesties King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended a ceremonial welcome.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended an audience with the King and Queen of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Later, as guests of the King and Queen of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended an official lunch.

Then, at the Prime Ministry, Amman, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with the Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr Hani al Mulki.

In the evening, in Amman, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a dinner for Australian Embassy staff.
