ANZAC Day Dawn Service; ANZAC Day Marches and Commemoration Services; Hellfire Pass Dawn Service; Kanchanaburi War Cemetery Commemorative Service
On Monday 25 April 2011, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO attended the ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
Afterwards, in Sydney, the Administrator led the ANZAC Day March.
In the afternoon, at the ANZAC Memorial, Hyde Park, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE attended the ANZAC Day Commemoration Service.
Afterwards, in Redfern, Sydney, the Administrator led the Redfern ANZAC Day street march, and later, attended the Redfern ANZAC Day Commemorative Service.
Earlier, at Hellfire Pass, Kanchanaburi, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC attended the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, at which the Governor-General delivered the ANZAC Day address and laid a wreath.
Afterwards, at the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, the Governor-General, attended a Gunfire Breakfast with veterans and former Prisoners of War.
Later, at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, the Governor-General attended a Commemorative Service at which the Governor-General delivered the ANZAC Day address and laid a wreath.
