Australian Air Force School of Air Traffic Control Standard Parade and Governor-General's Banner Presentation; Benjeroop, Murrabit and Kerang Community Visits
On Tuesday 24 May 2011, at Royal Australian Air Force Base East Sale, Victoria, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Royal Australian Air Force School of Air Traffic Control Standard Parade, at which Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Governor-General's Banner.
In the afternoon, in Benjeroop, Victoria, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, accompanied by the Mayor of Gannawarra Shire Council, Councillor Max Fehring, visited the Hawken family farm.
Afterwards, at Benjeroop Hall, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended an afternoon tea with Benjeroop and Murrabit community members.
Later, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, accompanied by the Mayor of Gannawarra Shire Council, viewed the flood affected areas between Benjeroop, Murrabit and Kerang and visited the Hall family dairy farm.
In the evening, at the Kerang Memorial Hall, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a community dinner for those affected by the recent floods and involved in the relief effort.
