Australian Local Government Association General Assembly; Ceremonial Welcome and State Lunch for the President of the Republic of Singapore; Address-in-Reply from the President of the Senate

On Monday 16 June 2014, at the Convention Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the President of the Australian Local Government Association, Dr Felicity-Ann Lewis, addressed the National General Assembly.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, received the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, Mr Philip Green OAM.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a Ceremonial Welcome for the President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam and Mrs Mary Tan.

Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove received the President of the Republic of Singapore and Mrs Tan; the High Commissioner for the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Michael Teo; the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, Mr Philip Green OAM; the Minister for Transport, Mr Lui Tuck Yew; and Principal Private Secretary to the President of Republic of Singapore, Mr Lee Kok Fatt.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a State Lunch in honour of the President of the Republic of Singapore and Mrs Tan.
