On Saturday 21 July 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, visited residents and viewed the facilities at Roma House, Albion, as guests of Mr Darren Young, State Director, Queensland and Northern Territory, Mission Australia.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies visited the Helena Jones Centre, Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre, as guests of Mr Peter Shaddock, Acting Deputy Commissioner, Queensland Corrective Services. At the Centre, Their Excellencies met with residents and their children, viewed community service projects, and engaged with Correctional Services staff.
