On Friday 9 August 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, Speaker, visited the Parliament of Queensland.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Paul Russell, Executive Director for Innovation in Governance, visited The Precinct, Brisbane.
Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a lunch for the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO, former Governor-General, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE at the Queensland Club, Brisbane.
Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mrs Karina Hogan, Chair, visited the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service, Brisbane.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Nicole Caulfield, Deputy Principal, attended the Lourdes Hill College’s Outreach High Tea Fundraiser.
