On Monday 24 February 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Brisbane, Queensland.  

The Governor-General attended as keynote speaker, the National Young Leaders Day 2025 presented by Halogen at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Peter Bongiomi (President), attended a lunch at the Ukrainian Club with the Brisbane Ukrainian Community.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General visited the Queensland University of Technology Gardens Point Campus as guest of Distinguished Professor Christopher Barner-Kowollik and meeting with Young Australian of the Year, Dr Katrina Wruck.  

Later, the Governor-General travelled from Brisbane, Queensland to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
