On Sunday 11 August 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC attended a breakfast with Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland, and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD.

Then, the Governor-General participated in an interview with the Governor of Queensland at Government House Queensland.

Afterwards, the Governor-General travelled from Brisbane, Queensland to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Helen O’Neil, Chair, ACT Cultural Facilities Board, attended the closing night of JULIA by the Sydney Theatre Company and Canberra Theatre Centre.
