Callers

On Thursday 1 May 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the High Commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island, the Honourable Alexander Downer AC.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Administrator of the Northern Territory, Her Honour the Honourable Sally Thomas AC.

Later, at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Deputy Director Canberra Hospital and Health Services, Mr Ian Thompson and the Executive Director Women Youth and Children, Ms Liz Chatham, met with nurses, families and children.

Earlier, the Governor-General was represented at Sydney Town Hall at the State Funeral for the late the Honourable Neville Wran AC QC, by Captain William Martin ADC RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
