On Thursday 6 February 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received the Director-General - National Archives of Australia, Mr David Fricker, and Acting Assistant Director-General Collection Management, Ms Ann McLean.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, received the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Western Sydney, Emeritus Professor Janice Reid AM.

Earlier, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, hosted a morning tea to mark World Cancer Day 2014.

Afterwards, Mr Bryce, as Patron, hosted an afternoon tea for the Australian Design Alliance.

Earlier, at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre, the Governor-General was represented at the State Funeral Service for the late Honourable Arthur Thomas Gietzelt AO, by Commodore Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

In the evening, at the Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Head of State of the Kingdom of Samoa, His Highness Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi, by Commander Paul Gall ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
