On Wednesday 20 November 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO received the Australian High Commissioner to Canada, Ms Louise Hand PSM.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Oxford, Dame Valerie Beral AC DBE.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to Serbia, Montenegro, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Ms Julia Feeney.

Earlier, at the National Arboretum, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the launch of the Engineers Australia Design Ideas Competition.

Afterwards, at Government House, Mr Bryce received the outgoing Chair of St. John Ambulance Australia, Colonel John Quantrill (Retd) and the Chair-designate of St. John Ambulance Australia, Ms Jane Brooks
