On Wednesday 9 July 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) received the Chief Executive of Defence SA, Mr Andrew Fletcher.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chair of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture Board, Professor Ross Chambers and the Executive Director, Right Reverend Professor Stephen Pickard.

Earlier, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron of L’Arche Genesaret, received the Canberra Community Leader for L’Arche Australia, Ms Valerie Spencer and Board Members, Ms Tarlie Alcock and Ms Kerry Lucre.

In the evening, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency Iolu Abil, by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
