On Tuesday 14 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Mr Tom Rogers, Electoral Commissioner, visited the Australian Electoral Commission, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Geoffrey Shaw, Head of Mission-Designate to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for a pre-posting call at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for the Pacific Heads of Mission.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from St Raphael’s Catholic School, Cowra, NSW, and The Hutchins School, Sandy Bay, TAS, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
