On Friday 20 July 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended an Australian Police Forces versus Australian Defence Force rugby union exhibition match, as guests of Rear Admiral Michael Rothwell AM RAN, Chairman, ADF Rugby Union, at Portsea Oval, Duntroon, to raise awareness for the Invictus Games in Sydney later this year.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from St Stephen’s School; Woodthorpe School; Esperance Christian Primary; and Victoria Park Christian School, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
