On Wednesday 11 July 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) received from His Excellency Mr Sisavath Inphachanh, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Chatoulong Bouasisavath (Minister Counsellor), Mr Viengkham Saenbouttalath (Second Secretary), and Mr Vanmaly Somphathong (Third Secretary).

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Pimlico State High School, QLD as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
