On Thursday 7 June 2018 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as patron, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea for the Australian Winter Paralympic Team in recognition of their achievements from the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Games.

Later, the Governor-General received Lieutenant General David Berger, Commander, United States Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, at Government House, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Tara Anglican School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
