On Monday 5 March 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), issued the Instruments of Appointment of Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective offices.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a ceremony at which the Governor-General issued the Oaths of Office and Executive Councillor to the newly appointed Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries: The Honourable Darren Chester MP, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Minister for Defence Personnel; The Honourable Keith Pitt MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport; Mr Mark Coulton MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment.
