On Thursday 23 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from Her Excellency Ms Sudha Devi K R Vasudevan, Letters of Commission accrediting her as the High Commissioner to Malaysia. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Zamani Ismail (Deputy High Commissioner), Mr Ahmad Asmadi Bin Abd Hashim (Counsellor) and Mr Khairul Hezry Arifin (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mr Anantha Raja Thamboo.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Ms Christelle Sohun, Letters of Commission accrediting her as the High Commissioner to the Republic of Mauritius. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mrs Brinda Trilok (First Secretary) and Mr Rudaralingum Coopamootoo (Second Secretary).

Later, the Governor-General received from Her Excellency Professor Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, Letters of Commission accrediting her as the High Commissioner to the Republic of Uganda. The High Commissioner was accompanied Ms Carol Lwabi (First Secretary) and Ms Julliet Okunia (Third Secretary).

Then, the Governor-General, received from His Excellency Mr Edwin Nii Adjei, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner to the Republic of Ghana. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Samuel Yao Kumah (Minister), Mr Hakeem Balogun (Minister) and Mrs Matilda Kumah (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Matilda Naa Ayikailey Adjei.

Later, the Governor-General, received from His Excellency Mr Milad Raad, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic. The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Ms Roula Azar.

Then, the Governor-General, received from His Excellency Mr Mark Mier Sofer, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador to the State of Israel. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mrs Anat Sultan-Dadon (Deputy Head of Mission), Mrs Dorit Herscovici (First Secretary) and Ms Hana Ben-Sheetrit (Counsellor).

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch in honour of newly accredited Heads of Mission. Guests included: His Excellency Mr Edwin Nii Adjei and Mrs Matilda Ayikailey Adjei; Mr Zamani Ismail; Her Excellency Ms Sudha Devi K R Vasudevan and Mr Anantha Raja Thamboo; Her Excellency Professor Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda; Mr Samuel Kumah; His Excellency Mr Nabil Lakhal; His Excellency Mr Milad Raad and Mrs Roula Azar; Ms Jennifer Rawson PSM; Ms Lyndall Sachs PSM; His Excellency Mr Mark Meir Sofer; Her Excellency Ms Christelle Sohun; Mrs Anat Sultan-Dadon; Mrs Brinda Trilok.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, met with students from Horsham West and Haven Primary School, VIC, and Holy Trinity School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra
