On Friday 3 November 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from St Agnes’ Primary School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

Afterwards, as Patron, Lady Cosgrove visited Karinya House and met with staff and volunteers.

Later, at Perth International Airport, the Governor-General was represented for the arrival to Australia of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and Mrs Elke Büdenbender by Honorary Aide-de-Camp, Captain Brian Delamont ADC RAN.
