On Saturday 20 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, at the Sri Lankan High Commission, as guests of His Excellency Mr Somasundaram Skandakumar, High Commissioner for the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, signed the condolence book for victims of the Sri Lanka bombings.

In the evening, the Governor-General, at St Christopher’s Cathedral, Canberra, as guest of Father Daniel Benedetti, Parish Priest, St Benedict’s Narrabundah, attended a multi-faith service for victims of the Sri Lanka bombings.
