On Thursday 18 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Dr Nguyen Thanh Phong, President of The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and His Excellency Mr Ngo Huong Nam, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General as Patron of RSL LifeCare, and Lady Cosgrove, as Patron of the War Widows’ Guild of Australia (ACT), attended the 25th Field of Remembrance Ceremony at Sir Leslie Morsehead Manor, Lyneham.

Later, the Governor-General received Commodore Michael Levy, Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, at Government House, Canberra.
