On Thursday 30 June 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) received General Manager Submarines of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, Rear Admiral Stephen Johnson USN (Retd).

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner for the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Burhanudeen Gafoor.

Later, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to The Holy See, Ms Melissa Hitchman.

Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a farewell lunch in honour of the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr Peter Varghese AO.
