On Wednesday 22 June 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) received from His Excellency Mr Jingye Cheng, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Wei Cai (Minister), Sr Col Jingguo Wang (Defence Attaché) and Mr Rengang Huang (Minister-Counsellor). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Fang Wang.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Kyoung-ha Woo, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Moon Up Sung (Minister), Col Sandeok Hwang (Defence Attaché) and Mr Woo Jin Jeong (Counsellor). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Jinah Lee.

Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Nasser Al-Khalifa, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the State of Qatar. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Mohammed Al-Jabir (Counsellor) and Mr Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari (Second Secretary).

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chairman, Mr Scott McAlister and the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tom Perrigo of National Trusts of Australia.
