On Wednesday 1 June 2016, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove received the Administrator of the Northern Territory, His Honour the Honourable John Hardy OAM, and Mrs Marie Hardy.

Afterwards, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, and the Governor General hosted a morning tea for the Canberra Hospital Foundation.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andrew Bickerdike, and the National Executive Officer, Ms Alison Brook of Relationships Australia.

Then, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to Vietnam, Mr Craig Chittick OAM.

In the evening, at Westminster House, Deakin, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as the guests of the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, Her Excellency Mrs Menna Rawlings CMG, attended a reception to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th Birthday.
