On Tuesday 10 May 2016, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Nurse, ACT Health, Ms Veronica Croome, attended the Nurses Remembrance and Thanksgiving Ceremony to mark International Nurses and Midwives week.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Director-General of Security, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, Mr Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC.
