On Thursday 21 February 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Caesar Lekoa, High Commissioner for Botswana, for a farewell call at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor General, as guest of Commodore Pete Leavy CSM RAN, Commandant, addressed Trainee Officers at the Australian Defence Force Academy.

Then, the Governor-General received a delegation of members of the Timorese Parliament at Government House, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from St Joan of Arc Primary School, VIC and Mitcham Primary School, VIC as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
