On Friday 15 February 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as a guest of Mr Mike Burgess, Director-General, Australian Signals Directorate, visited the Australian Signals Directorate and the Defence Signals Intelligence and Cyber Command, at Russell Offices, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Honourable Dr Brendon Nelson AO, attended a wreath laying ceremony commemorating the 10 year anniversary of the Special Operations Task Group Rotation VIII, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted an afternoon tea for The Smith Family, at Government House, Canberra.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of Mr Phil Thomson, CEO, Brumbies Rugby, attended the Plus500 Brumbies round 1 match against the Melbourne Rebels, at GIO Stadium, Canberra.
