On Thursday 18 October 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Ambassador-designate, to the Republic of Peru, for a pre-posting call.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Matt Linnegar, CEO, Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, attended the graduation ceremony for the 2018 Australian Rural Leadership cohort, at QT Canberra.

In the evening, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, and the Governor-General, attended the National Council of Women of Australia Conference Dinner, with Lady Cosgrove presenting the inaugural awards for 2018, as guests of Ms Barbara Baikie, President, at QT Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from St Joseph’s School, NSW; Moana Grammar School, NSW; Pacific Lutheran College, QLD; and Fairholme Junior School, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
