On Wednesday 17 October 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Mr Glenn Miles, Ambassador-designate, to the Arab Republic of Egypt, for a pre-posting call.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, received MAJGEN Stephen Day DSC AM, Coordinator General, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, for an update on the Australian Government’s drought relief measures.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Morningside State School, QLD; and Kimberley Park State School, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
