On Monday 15 October 2018, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Matt Davies, CEO, Red Cross ACT, visited Red Cross Meals on Wheels in support of Anti-Poverty week, and delivered a meal to a client in the Canberra area.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Peter Maurer, President, International Committee of the Red Cross; and Mr Ross Pinney, President, Australian Red Cross, at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards ACT Division presentations.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Melbourne Grammar Grimwade House, VIC; and Ulladulla Public School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
