On Tuesday 25 September 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Major General Mark Kelly AO DSC, Chair, Royal Australian Regiment (RAR) Foundation, and Mr John Walters, Director, RAR Foundation.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Paulo Cunha-Alves, Ambassador, Portuguese Republic. Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the Australian National University’s Tuckwell Scholars.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of His Excellency Baeksoon Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, attended a reception for the National Day of the Republic of Korea, at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Woodburn Public School, NSW; Emmaus Christian School; and Portside Christian College, SA.
