On Tuesday 18 September 2018 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received from His Excellency Mr Paul Gulleik Larsen, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms Beate Gabrielsen (First Secretary), and Ms Turid Hvidsten (First Secretary). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Ms Kristina Kraguljac Larsen.
Afterwards, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Mr Jurij Rifelj, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Andrej Kralj (Counsellor). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Ms Lana Alkrunz.
Later, the Governor-General received from His Excellency Dr Istvan Ferenc Mikola, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of Hungary. The Ambassador was accompanied by Dr Ferenc Toth (Deputy Head of Mission). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Melinda Violetta Horvath.
Then, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch in honour of newly accredited Heads of Mission. Guests included: Mr Chatoulong Bouasisavath; Ms Beate Gabrielsen; His Excellency Mr Sisavath Inphachanah; Mr Andrej Kralj; His Excellency Mr Paul Gulleik Larsen and Ms Kristina Kraguljac Larsen; His Excellency Dr Istvan Ferenc Mikola and Mrs Melinda Violetta Horvath; His Excellency Mr Jurij Rifelj and Ms Lana Alkrunz; Dr Ferenc Toth; His Excellency Mr Andres Unga and Mrs Jaanika Unga.
Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Marymount Primary School, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
