On Tuesday 5 September 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) launched the Youth Off The Streets semi-trailer, which will support disadvantaged young people in remote and regional communities.

Afterwards, at Sofitel Brisbane Central Hotel, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, opened the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners’ 12th National Conference.

Later, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General participated in a video call from Kelmscott Senior High School, WA.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Mr Clinton Pryor and accompanying Elders, to hear about Mr Pryor’s walk across Australia to raise awareness of Indigenous opportunities.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Kenmore State School, QLD; Bankstown Public School, NSW; and Beaufort Primary School, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
