On Saturday 11 November 2017, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director of the Australian War Memorial, Dr Brendan Nelson AO, attended the Remembrance Day National Ceremony.

In the afternoon, at Kangaroo Island Airport, the Governor-General was welcomed to Kangaroo Island by the Mayor of the Kangaroo Island Council, Councillor Peter Clements, and CEO, Mr Andrew Boardman.

Afterwards, at Parndana Show Grounds, Kangaroo Island, the Governor-General, as guest of Councillor Clement, attended the 58th Parndana Show.

Later, at Aurora Ozone Hotel, Kangaroo Island, the Governor-General, as guest of Councillor Clements, attended a civic reception.
