On Monday 17 August 2020, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Cr Peter Beer, Mayor, Snowy Monaro Regional Council, via video conference to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and 2019-20 bushfires.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Emily Frizell, Council Member, Prince's Trust Australia.

Later, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Manuel Cacho Quesada, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Cr Wendy Waller, Mayor, Liverpool City Council, via video conference to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
