On Wednesday 20 May 2020, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Carrie Leeson, Chief Executive Officer, visited and met with volunteers at Lifeline Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Jessica Summerrell, Executive Branch Manager, Social and Community Inclusion, ACT Government, visited and met with volunteers at the Canberra Relief Network.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley participated in a video conference with Rural Fire Service staff and volunteers from Albury, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Cooma, Clarence Valley, Northern Beaches, Snowy Monaro, and the Southern Border Districts.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley participated in a virtual school session with students at Narrabri Public School, NSW.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Baeksoon Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, for a farewell call.
