On Thursday 4 June 2020, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley received a video call from His Excellency Sir Tom Marsters, the Queen's Representative to the Cook Islands, and Her Excellency Lady Marsters.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Colonel Michael Miller RFD, Official Secretary to the Governor of New South Wales, for a call.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley participated in an audio interview with Mr Bernie Shakeshaft, Host, for the 'Everyday Heroes' podcast.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Professor Adrian Manning, visited the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary in recognition of World Environment Day.
