On Tuesday 13 August 2019, Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of His Excellency Tha Aung Nyun, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, attended a reception to commemorate the 52nd Anniversary of ASEAN.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received General David Petraeus AO, Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency, at Government House.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a dinner in honour of Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM, the outgoing Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
