On Friday 19 June 2020, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a telephone call from the Honourable Shane Stone AC, Chairman, Council for the Order of Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, as guests of Ms Dewani Bakkum, Chief Executive Officer, visited and met with staff at Migrant and Refugee Settlement Services Australia in recognition of World Refugee Day.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Ms Priscilla Wray, Principal, visited and met with students at Gungahlin College ahead of Women in Engineering Day.
