On Friday 10 July 2020, at Government House, Canberra, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received a phone call from the Honourable Julie Bishop, Chair, Prince's Trust Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley as guests of Mr Garry Browne AM, Chair, Rotary Centenary Committee, hosted a webcasted ceremony to recognise the Centenary of Rotary in Australia and launch a national baton relay initiative.
