On Tuesday 28 July 2020, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley met with Ms Sally Capp, Lord Mayor, City of Melbourne, via video conference to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley met with Cr Carly Moore, Mayor, City of Hume, via video conference to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic.

Later, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Mr Attila Brungs, Vice-Chancellor and President, University of Technology Sydney, took a virtual tour of Australia’s first Indigenous Residential College and Arts Centre.

Then, the Governor-General participated in a teleconference with State Governors and the Administrator of the Northern Territory.
